1x1 Build an Etsy store: project mentor

In this class, we advice one student to start and finish a functioning online store.  An advisor works with a student in a 1x1 advisory relation to finish building, and answer questions/solve problems along the way.

If an engineer build something, he/she must sell it.  Building a store and selling products is a great enabling skill.

Once someone become a seller, he/she becomes a businessman. No matter how inventions are made, the inventor must sell.

Become a fearless seller.  To build anything, you must be able to sell it.  Help with hand holding and answering questions when necessary.  We charge in 3 month cycle and won't stop until the student build their successful ETSY store and launch.

The students will be the driver and work in a hands on fashion.  The benefits of the advisor or mentor is two folded.  On one hand, the advisor provides problem solving.  Secondly, the advisor serves as a buddy to make sure the project is professionally finished and sales are made from the store.

The class will be conducted in an ongoing basis, consisting of 10 session cycles. 

Problem solving is key.  Having an advisor who has been there and done that will give much confidence.  It can turn a half finished project to finished store.  The subjects to advice include:

1. Product selection and pricing;

2. Document preparation;

3. Marketing and advertising (optimal);

4. Social media promotion (if any);

5. Product making and NPI;

6. Budgeting and profit forecasting.

Class duration: 10 weeks, once a week, rolling start date.  (Free information session at the beginning).  The window for enrollment opens September 20, 2024.

Benefits: students will learn how to build an online shop, stock with products, and manage to make sales.  Selling is a big part of business mindset.  Only through mentored practice can a child grow beyond their own age group.  The Online shop can be on free platforms such as Etsy. 

The teacher is well versed with ETSY store building and running, including aspects of production selection, advertising, and market research.

Successful participants will receive a "Stembay business skills badge" at the end.
